For all the lost words trapped between my teeth and underneath my tongue

Figured i need to write this down in case my memory is further diluted.

The 2 weeks in Barangay Tap Tap, Cebu has been nothing short of amazing. Albeit being stuck in the refurbishment cocoon, as aptly put by JD, for 10 days. I almost got a high on the smell of paint and thinner or otherwise brain damage. But after seeing the final outcome of the library, especially the wall mural at the end of it all, i could really say these 10 days worth of literally pain and sweat was not for nothing. It is something to start painting from scratch because hell, i have no experience in it at all, but it is definitely another to watch the little bits and pieces of painting come together and bear such close resemblance to the design that you personally came up w. Major achievement there. No thanks to the efforts of four others, couldn't have done it if anyone were missing.

It's not like you get to see beautiful sunsets, double rainbows, shimmering stars at night at the top of the mountains everyday. It's also not an everyday thing to see villagers and the kids so welcoming, greeting you whenever you walk past and even opening up their homes to you.
Got to say that the homestay was really quite an experience. Trekking up and down the mountains for 30 mins, slipping and getting muddy have never been such a normalcy.

Really glad to be given the chance for this eye-opening experience. I've never appreciated warm running water and public transports more than now. Have been speaking so much mandarin mixed english throughout this trip along with all the 9gag meme's stuck in my head just because. Sure takes much adjustment now that i'm back haha.

I find myself wishing i'm back there again, waking up with some meaning and a goal to achieve. To the same people, sharing the same jokes and laughter be it in the library, at the tables outside of the gym or at our meeting place in the hostel. Life could be so simple. So where does being a city dweller leave me?

Getting too nostalgic...
So back to the key issue in my current state, i am officially broke (and fat).
#firstworldproblems. You don't say?
